Top Streamer & Top Badge Program FAQ

Q: How Does Trending Work?

A: Trending for Top Streamers works as follows: at all times, there are 12 designated Top Streamer spots at the top of trending. If more than 12 Top Streamers are live, Top Streamers are rotated in and out of those 12 spots randomly. When not in one of those top 12 spots, you will be in your regular trending position. However, you can be lowered in trending if: a) your content is deemed inappropriate b) your profile picture is deemed inappropriate (partial nudity considered inappropriate) c) your content turns off viewers (poor lighting, being out of frame, empty stream, etc)

Q: Is It Possible to Lose My Top Streamer Status?

A: Yes. Top Streamers who break our guidelines in an excessive manner (nudity, violence, etc) or break the below guidelines are likely to lose their badge. If you do not stream for at least 4 hours every week and hit the minimum of diamonds, you will also lose your badge. These are the two most common ways Top Streamers lose their badges.

Q: Who do I reach out to if I have any account, ban, diamond, or cash-out-related issues?

A: The correct contact for these issues is hornetlive@hornet.com and great news, Top Streamers support is always available at @topstreamers official profile!

Q: What do I do if I am being harassed or bullied?

A: We do not tolerate bullying or harassment of any kind on our apps. Should this occur, please reach out to feedback@hornet.com so we can address it immediately. Make sure you include evidence of this happening on our app and use the email that you used to sign up for your account.

Top Streamer Program Guidelines

Being a part of the top streamer program comes with responsibilities, expectations, and a higher standard that is expected of you. We expect you to abide by the following rules and standards at all times in your streams, in others streams, and in your message blasts. Breaking these may result in a warning, account ban, loss of top badge, and in some cases loss of your account. As always, please follow our terms of service and review them regularly.

  1. Your profile photo is not allowed to be a shirtless photo or bikini photo (even if you are by a body of water).
  2. Do not spread rumors or speak negatively about anyone else in the top streamer program. Everyone is a part of the top streamer program for a reason and we expect you to treat each other with respect.
  3. Do not sleep or have a blank screen stream. If you are unable to be in-frame the entire time, please find a better time to stream.
  4. Do not give your account information out to anyone and have them stream for you. YOU are the one that became a top streamer so you are expected to be the one streaming.
  5. Do not have anyone in your box doing inappropriate gestures, dances, or clothing. You will be held accountable for their actions if it is during your stream. (Not including Next|Date).
  6. Do not have deleted account users (those who have lost their accounts before) into the box or engage with them if they set up new accounts as this person has been removed from our app for breaking our terms and service.
  7. Do not have inappropriate message blasts.
  8. Do not promote your OnlyFans, Premium Snapchat, or similar services on your stream.
  9. The public sale or promotion of explicit adult content, whether on or off the app, is prohibited.
  10. Do not stream and drive! Even if you are parked, you may get banned for it looking like you’re driving. In this case, better to be safe than sorry and wait until you’re home to go live.
  11. It is not recommended to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana during your stream as your only way to engage with your audience. Please have actual content and make your stream engaging.
  12. Do not share your personal information or others’ personal information. This includes account logins, full names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
  13. Time off Policy: As we realize our top streamers need to blow off steam and deserve a break, we will allow up to 6 weeks off each year to be taken and spent in any way necessary. This time off needs to be communicated in advance (At least 1 week prior to the week you are requesting). You can send an email to feedback@hornet.com or send a message to the @topstreamers official profile with the actual dates you are requesting. If you do not notify us in advance, your time off will be deducted 2 weeks instead of 1 week, which will count towards the 6 weeks you have been provided; therefore it’s really important to inform us. Your time off will be broken up like this: you are allotted 3 weeks from January to June 2024. You are then allotted another 3 weeks from July – December. This will be how the 6-week time off policy works. (Please note: This requested time off is separate from a week when you just did not hit your goal. We will continue to notify and warn you when that happens.) Once you exceed the 6-week maximum, you will not be allowed to take any additional time off from live-streaming aside from emergencies without proper notification and documentation. Failure to do so will result in the removal of your Top Badge. Within this specific requested time off, you will be excused from hitting your minimum requirements Diamonds for those weeks. Your top badge will still remain visible on your profile but will be placed on hold. In addition, this time off will be clearly noted and we will communicate the date you are expected to return to streaming. At this time, your top badge will be taken off hold.
